IDEA is thrilled to announce that the new duplex dormitory at Bohol Deaf Academy (BDA) is now complete and ready to accommodate 16 more high school students this school year 2023-2024.

Our deaf students have faced numerous challenges in recent years. They have gone through a lot of adjustments as they shifted from normal face-to-face classes to modular learning and eventually to blended learning. The transition may have been difficult, but our students have shown remarkable resilience and determination.

We will soon build an additional dormitory at Bohol Deaf Academy! Thank you so much to our kind donors! Check out this video of our IDEA US President, James Movius, showing the future site of BDA’s duplex dormitory, which will house 16 more students.

The past two academic years were unlike anything that our deaf students experienced before. Usual activities and interactions have been thrown into disarray because of the pandemic. However, our students overcame many adversities and chose to pursue their dreams.
